Did you know that most plastic shampoo and conditioner bottles never get recycled and end up in landfill or even our oceans!
There are several reasons which include, most bathrooms having their own waste bins in which the contents end up straight in your main waste bin and another is how difficult it can be to clean the contents well enough, certainly the conditioner bottlers, in order for it to be viable for recycling. Even if you do manage to recycle your plastic shampoo and conditioner bottles this still isn’t a great option as plastic can only be recycled about 7 times before it ends up in landfill anyway, so we have to find another way!
At Green Planet Beauty we have developed the best solution we feel to combat this big problem! We have created an impressive chemical free, SLS Free, SLES Free, Palm oil free, cruelty free, vegan friendly and plastic free shampoo and conditioner. We use high quality aluminium containers that are to be reused and to be refilled with our biodegradable and compostable refill shampoo and conditioner pouches. You can even put these in your home compost!
You can of course recycle our aluminium containers as this material can be recycled continuously unlike plastic!
We also decided to house the shampoo and conditioner in different types of containers. The shampoo is in an aluminium bottle which easily pours out from and our conditioner is housed in our aluminium tube so you can easily access and use the product, easily refill and easily clean out if you do decide to recycle!
